CHILDREN have successfully campaigned to have more bins in the streets outside a school.
Pupils from Stillness Infant School, Brockley Rise, Forest Hill, were appalled by the amount of litter in the area.
With the help of teachers and staff from the school, the children sent a letter to the council urging it to do something about the problem.
After a council survey of the area, two new bins have now been added.
The school prides itself on being green and was the first school to win the Keep Britain Tidy campaign’s Eco Schools Green Flag award in 2006.
