FISHING lessons for young wannabe anglers are proving to be a huge success, with every session fully booked.
Qualified angling coach Warren White is running twice daily two and a half hour sessions for five to 17-year-olds every Friday until August 28 at Darenth Fishery, Darenth Hill, Dartford.
Each group of five youngsters get expert tuition from Mr White and fellow coach Charlie Rayner, and at the first session last Friday (July 31) around 50lbs of carp was caught.
Mr White, 46, said: “We caught around 20 carp, which we threw back afterwards, so it was one of the best sessions we have had.”
The course was given the go-ahead this year due to its successful maiden run last year, when sessions were over-subscribed.
