FAMILIES are being encouraged to get back on their bikes by taking part in a free cycling event.
People can take part in Sky’s cycling initiative, Skyride, which has organised more than 100 free cycling events across London.
The events are taking place up until October and are being supported by British Cycling and the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson.
They will be led by fully trained cycle leaders from British Cycling and will take in everything from the countryside and local sights, to historical and art tours.
Two Skyrides are taking place on August 9.
Residents can meet at 10.30am at the Green/mini roundabout junction, Kingsway and Gates Green Road, West Wickham.
The second is taking place on the same day at 2.30pm, meeting at Sparrows Den car park, foot of Corkscrew Hill, West Wickham.
