A CHARITY for the deaf and hard-of-hearing is holding a series of free aftercare clinics.
Hi Kent runs drop-in sessions which allow people with NHS hearing aids to get their hearing aids cleaned and re-tubed, and also collect fresh batteries free of charge.
They can also get free advice and information on the charity’s wide range of equipment, including special door entry systems, smoke alarms, telephones, conversation aids and television listening devices.
Clinics are being held from 11am to 12 noon tomorrow (August 7) at St John’s Centre, Wrotham Road, Meopham and from 2.30 to 3.30pm on Tuesday (August 11) at Highcliffe Medical Practice, Hermitage Road, Higham.
Sessions will also take place from 9.30 to 11am on Wednesday (August 12) at Age Concern, Northfleet Day Centre, Coldharbour Road, Dartford, and from 2 to 3.30pm on Thursday (August 13) in Fleetdown Library, Swaledale Road, Dartford.
Chief executive John Clayton said: “There is no need to make an appointment – people should just turn up and they will be seen promptly.”
