DETECTIVES investigating the murder of Coney Hall football manager Ryan Musgrove have bailed a second man arrested in connection with the shooting.
A 32-year-old was arrested in Caterham, Surrey, on Friday (July 31) and after being questioned by police was bailed until mid October.
Mr Musgrove, 36, was on his way to a training session at Sparrows Den playing fields in Addington Road, West Wickham, on July 16 when a hidden gunman emerged from the bushes and opened fire.
Detective Chief Inspector John McFarlane, who is leading the investigation, said: "Ryan drove to the playing fields and arrived at around 6.35pm to organise football training. He had trained there for the previous four weeks on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
"Ryan parked his silver VW Golf and with a companion walked to the playing fields and met another member of the football team.
"As they were talking a man appeared from a nearby hedge dropping his bicycle to the ground and walked up to the men.
“He then shot Ryan three times and fled on the bike across the adjacent field in the direction of New Addington.”
A 26-year-old man was arrested on July 23 in connection with the father-of-two's murder and was bailed until early September.
