PUPILS are celebrating completing a three-week maths course run by Cambridge University.
The Fast Forward Maths course is funded by investment bank Goldman Sachs.
It aims to encourage budding mathematicians from ethnic minorities and families with little history of higher education.
The 20 pupils from Lewisham and Bromley taking part came from schools such as Addey & Stanhope, Crofton, Deptford, Forest Hill and Sedgehill.
Others came from St Matthew Academy, Sydenham School, Cator Park and Kelsey Park Sports College.
Sydenham Girls’ School pupil Ria Chambers, 16, said: “It was very practical and gave me a taste of university life. I am now thinking of studying maths.”
