PUPILS are celebrating striking gold at kickboxing.
Fourteen students at Forster Park Primary School in Lewisham have been awarded gold certificates in their introductory kickboxing course.
They started the course after instructor Nick Jaye was offered the chance to train pupils at the school in Boundfield Road.
He said: “They are among the best students I teach and possess some awesome techniques, especially their roof-raising reverse punches.”
Headteacher Jenny Chiverton said: “I am very proud of the dedication the children have shown towards learning a new sport.
“It has given our children a new direction in their lives."
