A busty teenager from Catford has been selected to advertise ladies underwear which is designed for the more curvy woman. Reporter DAN KEEL was more than happy to chat to Lauren Colfer about her new found success.

THERE is no doubt about it. Lauren Colfer is a star in a bra - as these pictures prove.

The 19-year-old stunner from Catford, beat off competition from 1,000 voluptuous hopefuls to bag the role of model for a new range of underwear by lingerie company Curvy Kate.

With her 32F bust, size 12 figure and exotic looks, Miss Colfer decided to send in photos of herself to Brastop.com's Star in a Bra competition in June.

After an initial round of online voting on Brastop's website, the list was soon whittled down to 10 with each finalist taking part in a photo shoot.

The images were uploaded onto the website with online voters choosing their favourite model.

Speaking after receiving the good news early last week, the double-d-licious brunette said: "I couldn't believe it when I heard that I had won. It's such a nice feeling.

"I have been buying underwear from Brastop for a while now and saw the competition. I thought I might as well give it a go - and here I am!"

The buxom beauty added: "Lots of women have problems finding underwear which fits them. You can't just go into Primark and buy a pack of five like all the other girls.

"Finding underwear for people shaped like me can be difficult and very expensive. But Brastop offers bras which are big enough, look great and are still nice and cheap."

Lauren had her first photo-shoot yesterday and is now officially the face and chest of Curvy Kate until next summer.

When asked if she would like to work as a full-time model, the former Eltham Hill school pupil said: "Modelling seems to be a really good fun way of earning money.

"At the moment I am doing a psychology course at Goldsmiths University and am working as a receptionist throughout the summer, but modelling is definitely something I enjoy doing."

Brastop's marketing manager, Hannah Houston, says the Catford beauty is the perfect choice for the role.

"We had a lot of entries from really skinny girls but that is not what we wanted. Lauren has the same breast size as a lot of our customers, and she has gorgeous skin, hair and a lovely body," she said.

"To go with that she is really good fun - always giggling and getting involved.

"She doesn't mind what we throw at her - she just gets stuck in and brings a lot of personality to the brand."
