POLICE are appealing for information after armed robbers targeted takeaway delivery drivers.
At around 11.30pm last Wednesday (July 29), an Indian takeaway driver was robbed at gunpoint by a balaclava-clad man dressed in black in Capelands, New Ash Green.
The male driver had been called to an address there where nobody answered, and was robbed by the man, described as around 6ft tall, as he walked away from the property.
On the previous Sunday (July 26) at around 10.40pm, in the same area, a pizza delivery man was robbed at gunpoint by two men wearing dark clothing.
Neither driver was injured in the incidents.
Investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Mark Hutcheon, of Kent Police, said: “This was a traumatic experience for both delivery drivers and I would urge anyone with information to contact police as soon as possible.”
