A CANCER charity is a-peeling for runners to dress as bananas at this year’s Run To The Beat half-marathon.
Leukaemia Research is looking for banana-suited runners to complete the 13-mile run through Greenwich borough and pledge to raise as much money as they can for the charity.
The charity hopes to break the world record for the most bananas in one place and more than 100 people have signed up already.
The race will start and finish at Greenwich’s The O2 on September 27 and the course will feature specially selected music tracks to motivate participants to keep running.
If you fancy skinning the competition or just fancy going bananas, contact Matt Lawley on 020 7685 5128 or email mlawley@lrf.org.uk
