A LEISURE centre hosted an action packed weekend of activities aimed at encouraging visitors to get active.
Downham Leisure Centre organised free blood pressure and health checks, cheerleading demos, indoor cycling and circus skills to help people get active.
Manager Nigel Court said: “This community open day provided the perfect introduction for families who want to benefit from a more active lifestyle.
“We had something for everyone from arts and crafts for the young to samba classes, street theatre, face painting and a rowing competition.”
The community open day at the centre in Moorside Road put visitors to the test on July 25.
