PLANS to improve a recreation ground are being shown at an exhibition.
The exhibition will detail Bromley Council’s plans to improve Hoblingwell Wood Recreation Ground in Chipperfield Road, St Paul's Cray.
It will give people an opportunity to view and comment on the draft plans, which include landscaping, substantial tree planting and other general park improvements.
The scheme would also include upgrading the sports pitches and measures designed to stop the pitches being damaged by unauthorised vehicles.
The plans require planning permission and would see a specialist company use subsoil or other inert remodelling materials such as clay, gravel or crushed fill to remodel and landscape the recreation ground.
It will be held on August 5 between 5pm and 9.30pm at Vincent Matthews Hall, Kings Church, St Peters Lane, St Paul’s Cray and on Saturday (August 8) the exhibition will be held between 10am and 1pm at Sanderson Hall, Mickleham Road, St Paul’s Cray.
If planning permission is granted work will start in February 2010, taking around 48 weeks to complete.
