A BURST water main on the outskirts of St Mary Cray saw firefighters spend several hours pumping away water.
The London Fire Brigade were called to Cockmannings Road at around 3am this morning (July 29).
The leak sent large amounts of water running down the road and the decision was taken to close the street to traffic.
Firefighters who attended the scene near Waldens Road say nearby houses were not affected by the flood, and crews left the scene after a couple of hours.
Staff from the local water company are now dealing with the broken pipe.
