SHOPPERS will have the chance to mark the death of Elvis Presley during a singing competition.
Visitors to The Walnuts shopping centre in Orpington on August 15 will be able to take to the stage to perform their favourite Elvis track in front of a panel of judges.
Elvis died on August 16, 1977, and staff in the shopping centre’s stores will also be wearing Elvis quiffs and dressing up.
Walnuts centre manager Martin Price said: “This is a great opportunity for local people to come along to show us their pelvic rolls to celebrate the life of the King.”
Book time on stage by sending your email address, telephone number and the song you would like to sing to thewalnuts@pmwcom.co.uk by Monday (August 10).
