MPs recently began their 83-day summer recess
In part three of a month-long feature, reporter DAN KEEL speaks to the area's representatives about their holiday plans during a break from Parliament which lasts until October 12.
Robert Neill - age 57 - Conservative - Bromley and Chislehurst
1. How many holidays will you be going on during the summer recess? One - unless you count going to Manchester for the Party Conference as a holiday.
2. Where are you going? South-west France, near Cahors (three weeks).
3. What type of accommodation will you be staying in?My wife Daphne's house, same as every year.
4. What will you be doing with the rest of your recess? Working in the constituency - and catching up with things at home that I haven't had the chance to do since last year!
5. Which book will you be reading on the beach? We are about 150 miles inland but there is a pool, so The Shadow of the Winds by Carlos Ruiz Zafon and the new biography of Harold Macmillan by Charles Williams
6. What music will you be listening to on the plane? We are driving but I will have some opera CDs on in the background.
7. What will you be thinking about while you are on holiday? If they might call an election whilst I'm away.
8. What's the first thing you will do when you return from your travels? Check they haven't!
9. Do you think the summer recess for MPs is too long? Yes, but most of it is working in the constituency rather than putting your feet up!
10. Swimming trunks or swimming shorts? Anything but speedos!

2. Where are you going?Italy from mid August until early September.
3. What type of accommodation will you be staying in? No answer.
4. What will you be doing with the rest of your recess? I will continue to work at Westminster and in the Constituency on local issues.

Clive Efford - age 50 - Labour - Eltham
1. How many holidays will you be going on during the summer recess? One.
2. Where are you going? I am going to Portugal for two weeks.
3. What type of accommodation will you be staying in? We will be renting a house.
4. What will you be doing with the rest of your recess? Catching up with all the work which I have not been able to do while parliament is sitting.
5. Which book will you be reading on the beach? I like reading historic novels.
6. What music will you be listening to on the plane? The Who, Kaiserchiefs, Razorlight. I like a mix of old and new but it's mostly rock and R and B.
7. What will you be thinking about while you are on holiday? As little as possible. I will be away with my friends and family and looking forward to relaxing and have a good time.
8. What's the first thing you will do when you return from your travels? Opening up a large pile of post and tidying up the house after the kids.
9. Do you think the summer recess for MPs is too long? I think as long as you can ask ministers questions and do work then I don't think it is a problem. The house sits longer than most legislatures across the globe.
10. Swimming trunks or swimming shorts? Shorts. I am not much of a beach person, but I will lounging by the pool in some shorts.
