RESIDENTS still have a chance to nominate their favourite park as the best in the south east.
The competition is in its eighth year and has been organised by Briggs and Stratton, which make engines for maintenance equipment including lawnmowers.
If your park wins the best in the south east it will be entered in the best in the UK category.
Briggs & Stratton's business development manager Ian Small, said: "We want to find the most attractive, well-maintained, accessible and community-friendly public spaces in the UK, and reward the hard work which goes into maintaining them."
Parks will be judged on criteria including, environment, design, usability, maintenance and inclusion.
Nominations should be received by August 28 and there are many ways to nominate your park.
You can visit britainsbestparks.co.uk and fill in the entry form or call 01332 258335 and one will be sent to your address and you can also request an electronic copy by emailing britains_best_park@paskett.co.uk To read more environmental news visit greenguardian.co.uk/
