A 39-YEAR-OLD man is in a critical condition after being assaulted on a station platform.
The assault on July 24 happened following an altercation between two groups of people on a crowded 11.40pm train from Charing Cross to Dartford.
This then spilled over onto a platform at Deptford station.
The victim, from New Cross, was taken by ambulance to hospital with life-threatening head injuries.
Police were called to the station at around 11.55pm but one of the groups had fled the scene before officers arrived.
They are looking for three men and a woman in connection with the incident.
Investigating officer Detective Superintendent Ashley Croft from the British Transport Police said: "This was a vicious attack on a man who was making his way home after a night out."
Anyone with information should call 0800 405040 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
