AN OPEN garden was held to raise money for a hospice which cares for the terminally ill.
Around 250 people attended Ellenor Lions Hospice’s event at Lawn Cottage, Nash Street, Meopham, on Sunday (July 26) afternoon.
Visitors enjoyed the 1.5 acre site with its country views, a pond, and animals, and around £1,000 was raised from stalls, refreshments, a raffle and entrance fees.
Sarah Dell, the hospice’s administrator to the fundraising team, helped organise the event and said: “All the money will go to the hospice’s ongoing care and support of people with life limiting illnesses.”
Based in Coldharbour Road, Northfleet, the hospice provides residential, day centre and in-home care for people across the boroughs of Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and Bexley.
