CHILDREN, parents and carers across Greenwich were in good voice for an annual sing-a-long.
The Rhyme-a-thon event at Greenwich’s National Maritime Museum, on July 17, aimed to develop children’s language and communication skills through singing songs and reciting rhymes while also helping to promote a love of books.
More than 600 under five-years-old took part in the event at which each child was given a free goodie bag to take home with them.
The mayor of Greenwich Councillor Allan MacCarthy said: “I was delighted to see so many children, parents and carers having such a good time.
“The Rhyme-a-thon offers a great opportunity to learn whilst still having fun and socialising, a beneficial experience for under fives as they prepare to start school.”
