A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in connection with the death of a pensioner in Greenwich.
The body of 79-year-old Edward Highwood was found at his home in Hollymount Close at around 3pm on Saturday, July 18.
He had suffered fatal head injuries
Met police have set up an incident room and are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information.
Assistant detective inspector Steve Warrilow, who is investigating the incident, said: "Mr Highwood was last seen alive on the Friday, and we wish to hear from anyone who saw him at any time that day or the day after.
"Similarly we need to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the vicinity of Hollymount Close on Friday or Saturday."
