A WALK-IN health centre has been shut as staff try to cope with the swine flu pandemic.
The centre, in Goodwood Road, New Cross, will be closed on Saturdays and the staff moved elsewhere in the borough.
Lewisham NHS says if patients need to use the centre when it is closed they should call their GP surgery or call NHS Direct on 0845 4637.
The centre’s Saturday blood testing clinic, which runs from 8.30am to 10.30am, will now be held at the Waldron Health Centre, Amersham Vale, Deptford.
Patients with flu-like symptoms are advised to stay at home, rest, drink plenty of fluids and take over-the-counter flu remedies to help relieve the symptoms.
If patients feel very unwell, they should check their symptoms online at nhs.uk or call the swine flu information line on 0800 1513513.
