THE pregnant girlfriend of murdered football manager Ryan Musgrove has made a tearful plea for information about his murder.
And the detective leading the investigation has revealed Mr Musgrove’s killer was spotted at the murder scene the week before the fatal shots were fired.
Kelly McGahan broke down in tears at New Scotland Yard this morning (July 23) as she revealed she was three months pregnant.
Her boyfriend and Coney Hall Football Club’s first team coach was about to take a training session on Sparrows Den playing fields in West Wickham on July 16 when a masked gunman opened fire with a hand gun.
Miss McGahan from South Norwood said: “He lived for football, he lived for his children, he has got two beautiful children.
“Were are expecting our first baby together. He is not going to be able to hold or kiss our baby.
“It has destroyed our lives.”
The beautician added: “I’m appealing for people to come forward. Anyone who knows anything or has seen anything on that evening when this happened to him.”
The 36-year-old electrician, also from South Norwood, died of a single gun shot wound which punctured his heart, kidneys and spleen.
Detective Chief Inspector John McFarlane, who is leading the investigation, said the killer had been seen the week before the fatal shooting.
“He was seen the previous Tuesday and Thursday at Sparrows Den playing fields and at Coney Hall Football Club between 6pm and 7pm,” the detective said.
Mr Musgrove leaves behind two children Saffron, 13, and Storm, 11, from a previous relationship.
Miss McGahan added: “We had so many plans together and they have taken that away.
“I just want someone who knows anything to come forward, someone walking their dog or another cyclist. Please, just anything, anything at all.”
