A POLICE chase involving a stolen car ended when three men escaped across fields.
Bromley police officers were on routine patrol in Sidmouth Road, St Mary Cray, yesterday (July 22) at 3.49pm when they spotted a black Land Rover with false number plates.
The 4x4 refused to stop for the police and a short pursuit ended when the car drove into Hoblingwell Wood in Leeson’s Way, St Paul's Cray.
Three men then jumped from the car and fled the scene.
A police spokesman said: “A search of the area failed to locate the suspects and enquiries are ongoing. "Forensic examination of the vehicle is taking place.”
The Land Rover was later reported stolen from Biggin Hill.
