FOUR men face burglary charges following yesterday’s (July 21) police raids targeting people suspected of being involved in a huge car ringing network.

Jamie Webb, aged 26 of Hurst Road, Sidcup, has been charged with conspiracy to burgle and conspiracy to handle stolen goods.

Freddie Webb, aged 24, of Swanley Lane, Swanley, and 22-year-old Jason Webb, of Milborough Crescent, Hither Green, have been charged with conspiracy to burgle.

Perry Brown, aged 22, of Constable Mews, Bromley, has been charged with conspiracy to handle stolen goods.

All four men were due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today (July 22).

Eight other people arrested in the raids, four men and four women, have been bailed until dates between September 9 and September 21.

A 31-year-old woman has been released without charge.

Operation Demon saw police swoop on 16 addresses in the London boroughs of Bromley, Bexley, Lewisham and Croydon, as well as west Kent.

The dawn raids came after the Met Police recovered 50 stolen cars taken during overnight burglaries.

Many of the break-ins took place in Bromley borough and saw thieves swipe car keys without disturbing the owners sleeping upstairs.
