PUPILS have been given a glimpse into life in the Far East after their school linked with one in China.
Students from St Ursula's Convent School, Crooms Hill, Greenwich, have forged ties with pupils from Chun Lin Secondary in Shaanxi province.
The two schools have been partnered in a project run by children’s charity Plan UK and have already been interviewed by BBC World China.
Pupils will exchange letters and photos to learn more about each other’s lives as well as discussing issues such as climate change and the future global economy.
The charity’s project aims to bring 2,000 schools in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the UK over the next five years.
Head of geography at St Ursula’s Julie Scanlan said: “The kids are really enthusiastic about the link and have already received their first letters and pictures from China about day-to-day life in school there.”
