A COUNCILLOR who campaigns against youth violence ran 10km for a safety charity.
Cllr Pete Pattisson raised £555 for the Suzy Lamplugh Trust when he joined 27,000 other runners in a race through central London.
The charity raises awareness of the importance of personal safety to help people avoid violence in their everyday lives.
The Lib Dem prospective MP for Lewisham East has been actively campaigning for an end to youth violence in Lewisham.
He said: “Too many people in Lewisham, especially young people, have become victims of violence recently, and so I was proud to do my small part to help others stay safe."
Cllr Pattisson managed to finish the race, on July 12, in just 44 minutes.
