PARENTS of murdered teenagers are calling for stricter laws on knife crime.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown met with the grieving families, which included the parents of murdered Jimmy Mizen and Rob Knox, in Downing Street yesterday.
During the meeting the families called for a mandatory six month prison sentence for anyone carrying a knife.
Jimmy Mizen, aged 16, was killed in a Lee bakery in May last year and 18-year-old Rob Knox died the same month after being stabbed outside a nightclub in Sidcup.
- Should a minimum jail term be introduced for anyone caught carrying a knife? Have your say.
