YOUNGSTERS have had a chance to make objects out of materials which are normally thrown away.
The design and technology pupils from Ravensbourne School in Hayes Lane, Bromley, spent six weeks taking part in the project.
They made things such as keyrings out of computer chips and lanterns made from tins.
Environmental education and design consultant Charlotte Chapman, helped to guide the students.
The 36-year-old said: “The kids had a designer to work with them and they got objects from around the home.
“They worked out how to not put the rubbish items in landfill by making the objects into something else.”
Ms Chapman was a design and technology teacher in New Zealand and completed her A-levels at Kemnal Technology College.
