A 32-YEAR-OLD man from Lewisham has been jailed for sexual assault and attempted rape.
Dean Lowe pleaded guilty to attacks against two women and was sentenced to six years in prison at Woolwich Crown Court last Friday (July 17).
Lowe, of Arlington Close, assaulted the first victim as she walked home from Lewisham bus station, on July 18 last year.
He approached her from behind and threatened to kill her with a knife before sexually assaulting her.
Lowe was arrested in October after he followed a second woman home from St Johns train station.
As the woman tried to open the front door of her house, Lowe approached her for help, saying he had been attacked.
While Lowe was talking the woman’s boyfriend called her mobile, but Lowe snatched the phone and told her to open the door, threatening to kill her with a knife if she resisted.
Inside the house Lowe sexually assaulted the victim and tried to rape her but was interrupted by the police who had been alerted by her boyfriend.
Lowe was arrested and charged with attempted rape the following day (October 8) and three days later he was charged with the July 18 attack.
