A 42-YEAR-OLD man accused of robbing four women at knifepoint has been remanded in custody.
Mark Meachen, of Kelso Court, Anerley Park, Penge, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with four counts of robbery, four counts of possessing an offensive weapon and two counts of inflicting GBH.
Meachen is accused of robbing a 55-year-old woman and stabbing her in the hand near Penge West station on June 27.
He allegedly robbed two women, aged 75 and 44, in the Penge area within 20 minutes of each other on July 13 and is also accused of stabbing the pensioner in the hand.
Meachen is also alleged to have robbed a 36-year-old woman near Penge West station on July 17.
He is due to appear at Croydon Crown Court on September 14.
