A WEBSITE calling for a murderer’s retrial has sparked outrage among internet users who are demanding the group is shut down.

The Justice For Jake Fahri group claims the killer, of Milborough Crescent, Lee, was unfairly convicted of killing 16-year-old Jimmy Mizen on May 10, last year.

Following a short row with Jimmy and his brother Harry at the Three Cooks Bakery, in Lee, 19-year-old Fahri threw a glass dish at Jimmy, which smashed on his throat and severed his jugular.

Group members claim Fahri was acting in self defence and are demanding the killer’s 14-year prison sentence be quashed.

But Jimmy’s supporters have now set up their own groups calling on the social networking site to shut the group down.

Artist Craig Cooper, from Shoreditch, became a member of the “keep jake fahri in prison for the rest of his life” group after feeling disgust at comments made about the Mizen family.

The 45-year-old said: “It’s appalling. I want the group removed because it goes against everything the website is all about.

“It’s just evil amongst evil. I found it insulting to the Mizen family and I think it’s totally wrong.

“Justice has been done and the Old Bailey has made a unanimous decision.

“The Fahri family should be accepting that he’s fallen into demonised ways and they should set up a site telling young people not to do the same.

“The Mizen family are absolutely pure innocents in all this and I can’t imagine what they’re going through after reading what’s been written on the site.”

The Justice for Jake Fahri group, which has 312 members, was set up in March by friends and family of the murderer, including his sister Molly Mae Fahri.

The group’s creator Tracy O'Mahoney says Fahri was protecting himself from “an onslaught of violence” from the two Mizen brothers.

Website users are furious Ms O'Mahoney deletes comments on the site defending Jimmy and his family.

Mr Cooper said: “It’s beyond belief. I know everyone has freedom of speech but this is not freedom of speech.

“I can’t believe that they think they’ve got grounds for appeal. Jake Fahri has been tried by English law and found guilty.

“There’s absolute hatred coming out of their mouths. It’s not what this site is all about. It’s not about inciting that sort of hatred and evil.”

Other users of the group, which has 344 members, have expressed similar anger.

Esther Amondo Crewling Mubenga wrote: “The whole family on that group are all using cheap excuses to try to cover for jake.

“How insulting is it to publish a group called ‘justice for jake’ to the Mizen family?...and not once in this attack have the Mizens made excuses or slagged off Jake's family. All they wanted was justice.”

David Hutzel’s “NO JUSTICE FOR JAKE FAHRI convicted murderer” group also wants Ms O’Mahoney’s site removed.

Writing on the site, he said: “For the decency of our land please join this group to put a stop to the evil that is Jake Fahri and his supporters.

“The idea that this murdering thug and his disfunctional family are even considering a drop of innocence is very disturbing.”
