A ROCK concert has been held to raise money for charity in memory of a 24-year-old woman killed by a rare lung condition.
Swanley resident Lucy Clarke lost her two-year battle with pulmonary hypertension on April 7 last year.
On July 10 her friends and family organised a concert called Rock For Lucy at Dartford Cricket Club, Pilgrims Way, which was attended by around 200 people and raised £1,269 through a raffle and auction.
This money will go to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA), which supports those affected by the condition and promotes research into treatment.
Lucy’s mother, Debbie said: “The concert was a huge success, and raising that amount of money is amazing.
The 51-year-old Philip Avenue, Swanley, resident added: “Many more people now know about this illness because of the concert.”
