A 19-YEAR-OLD man is recovering after a head-on crash near Pratts Bottom yesterday afternoon (July 15).
Police have confirmed this morning (July 16) the teenager’s injuries are not life-threatening despite the serious accident involving his turquoise Rover coupe at 2.57pm on the A21.
The London Fire Brigade had to cut the man free from the wreckage of his car and he was airlifted to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
A BMW was also involved in the crash and the occupants, a man and a woman in their late 50s, were taken to the nearby Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough.
Police say their injuries are not life-threatening.
The A21 was closed between the Rushmore Hill and Charmwood Lane roundabouts until 4.23pm when police reopened one lane.
The busy road to the M25 was then fully opened again at 5.33pm.
