BEXLEY is to play host to a national tennis tournament.
Danson Park’s grass courts will be the venue for this year's AEGON Summer County Cup.
Group seven of the doubles-only event will be played from Monday to Friday next week (20 to 24).
Eight counties from across England and Scotland - Bedfordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, South of Scotland, Cumbria and Isle of Man - will be represented at the event.Councillor Peter Catterall, Bexley cabinet member for leisure, arts and tourism, said: "I am delighted to be welcoming this nationally recognised tournament to Bexley.”
He added: "We can expect to see some exciting tennis on display and all free of charge.”
Play at the park in Danson Road, Welling, will begin no later than 10.30am each day.
