Thousands of people attended an emergency services day at North Kent Police Station.
North Kent police, firefighters, coastguards, ambulance crews and many more services put on displays and interacted with the crowds at the station on Thames Way last Saturday (July 11).
An arrival by the Kent Air Ambulance was a crowd pleaser and people could get up close to the helicopter and meet the pilot and crew to ask questions about the service.
Kent Police Chief Inspector Philip Painter, who helped organise the event, said: “I’m delighted with how the event went and the number of visitors who came was fantastic.
“People were able to see how the police and partners work together, and judging by the letters we have been sent already, were impressed with the displays and information available.”
