STAFF and pupils at a newly formed primary school have celebrated their first term together.
Oaklands Primary School hosted musical performances and poetry readings after the successful merger of the former Oaklands infant and junior schools in Oaklands Lane, Biggin Hill.
Pupils from each year group performed a song, dance or poem for the audience, including Biggin Hill ward councillor Julian Benington, on July 10.
Head teacher Anne Smith said: “The pupils performed absolutely splendidly.
“It was a real joy to see all our young people together in the school hall enjoying each other’s performances.”
The amalgamation of the school was agreed after a public consultation last year.
