A LIB DEM councillor has announced he will fight for a seat in Parliament.
Councillor Pete Pattisson will run for the Lewisham East seat at the next general election and has pledged to change the constituency for the better.
The former teacher at Deptford Green School, Amersham Vale, New Cross, was elected councillor for Whitefoot ward in 2007 and has been actively campaigning for an end to youth violence in Lewisham.
He said: “I spent years teaching our local young people that politics and democracy could be a force for good, but we've all been let down by the disgraceful way some MPs have used their expenses.
“We deserve representatives that serve us, not themselves.”
