RESIDENTS are being asked for their opinion on dog control orders.
The orders have been trialled in parts of Greenwich since last September, leading to ten dog owners being fined for breaking the rules.
They prohibit owners letting their dogs off the lead in designated areas, and force them to clear up after their pets or face a fine of up to £1,000.
Greenwich Council is now proposing expanding the dog control orders across the whole borough.
Following a previous consultation, some areas like Mycenae House Gardens could now see dogs allowed off the lead, while others, like Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park, would see dogs banned.
The consultation runs until August 10.
To take part email dog-control@greenwich.gov.uk or pick up a consultation leaflet from council buildings and libraries.
