CHILDREN showed their sporting spirit by singing a specially composed song to celebrate Greenwich hosting the Olmpics in 2012.
Yesterday morning (July 13), around 46 pupils from Montbelle Primary School, in Milverton Way, Eltham, gathered at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich Park, to sing the song.
The song will be shown on a big screen in Woolwich in the run-up to the games.
A Greenwich Council spokesman said: “Hopefully the song will become the theme song for Greenwich in the run-up to London 2012, inspiring people to celebrate Greenwich and its role in the Games, a hugely significant milestone in the history of the borough.”
