THE life of poet Dylan Thomas will be recounted at a lunchtime event next week.
Actor Gabriel Woolf will appear at the Fairfield in Croydon on July 14 for Dylan Thomas: Once Below A Time.
The event will feature poetry, prose and letters from the famous Welshman.
Gabriel has presented literary programmes across the English-speaking world, including major tours of USA, has written plays and documentaries and has chosen, edited, and read more than 40 major novels for radio.
Since winning the Gold Medal at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art he has starred many times on stage, in film and on television.
He has performed in hundreds of literary programmes including ‘self portraits’ of George Eliot, Dickens, Tennyson, Rupert Brooke, Auden, Betjeman, Henry James, Kipling and Keats.
As a narrator, Gabriel has appeared with many other orchestras and musicians.
