MAJOR plans for a high street will be unveiled at a public exhibition next week.
Bromley Council wants to spend more than £2m improving Orpington High Street by laying new block paving, planting trees and improving parking facilities.
The exhibition displaying the plans will run from July 21 to July 25 in Unit 18 of The Walnuts shopping centre in Orpington.
Executive councillor for renewal and recreation Julian Benington said: “At the exhibition, quite literally, we’ll be bringing the outdoors in.
“We’ll create a pavement within the shop to give an idea what the high street might look like.
“We hope that these improvements will give a much needed boost to the retailing environment.”
