FIREFIGHTERS spent half an hour battling a house fire in Orpington last night (July 10).
Crews from Orpington and Sidcup fire stations were called to Blenheim Road at 7.05pm after reports a small fire had broken out in a two storey house.
Ten per cent of the first floor was damaged by the fire before the London Fire Brigade brought the flames under control at 7.27pm.
It is thought smoke alarms may have alerted the occupants of the house who all escaped safely.
