Bluewater personal stylist Anna Moore, from The Style Clinic, explores summer fashion fads.
What is it about summer that makes everyone a little fashion crazy? The thrill of seeing the sun, drinking Pimms in the afternoon and eating al fresco seems to turn our fashion focus to mush.
Fashion fads overtake the UK during the summer – ubiquitous with festivals, group holiday culture and sporting events, summer is just not the same without the cheap rush of a silly trend.
This season's classics include:
The childish act of wearing rubber on your feet in the heat (think crocs/jelly shoes).
The use of oversized baskets for the beach/shopping (best left for laundry).
Brightly coloured sunglasses, boob tubes, Ali Baba-style harem pants and wooden jewellery. Need I go on?
The silly trend is there to be embraced and believe it or not, choose wisely from the crazy fads and you may just remain stylish in your silliness.
