JAPANESE arrow heads, African daggers and a Maori war canoe will all been put on display at Bromley Museum next week.
The exhibition will showcase Sir John Lubbock’s collection of artefacts from the around the world - the First Lord Avebury was a local dignitary and close friend of Charles Darwin.
In 1871, he successfully pushed the Bank Holiday Act through Parliament, leading to the August bank holiday.
A Yoruba cattle skin fan, clubs from the Pacific and native American beaded moccasins, all from the former MP's collection, will also be on display.
The exhibition runs from July 13 to August 31 at the museum in Church Hill, Orpington, during normal opening hours.
