A COMMUNITY centre has been shortlisted to receive an architectural award.
The Eltham Centre, in Archery Road, opened at the end of 2007 and includes a swimming pool, gym, and library.
It has now been chosen from 170 applications to join a shortlist of 13 buildings up for an award from architecture organisation SCALA, which helps councils maintain standards in public buildings.
The centre, which cost £20m, was a runner-up in the public building project of the year category in the Building Awards 2009 and the winner of the SCALA competition will be announced in November.
