THE members of the Rotary Club of Eltham Phoenix held their handover on June 29 at Sophie’s Choice Restaurant in Sidcup.
Outgoing president Peter Green gave a short presentation on the highlights of his year in office and handed a cheque for £120 to Denis Delaroute from local charity Reinstate.
He also presented Jim Bennett, the chief executive of Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice, with one of Rotary’s highest awards, a Paul Harris Fellowship Award Eltham Phoenix Rotary Club is a forum for people of all ages with a strong sense of community service and team fellowship.
We are a friendly group which meets weekly for dinner, to discuss and undertake projects where we can make a difference.
