THE London Bubble Theatre Company has teamed up with Greenwich Theatre for the second year running to stage a stunning production of Mother Goose and the ... Wolf.
Following the organisations' successful pairing last Christmas with Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, the two companies have joined forces again with this magical, all-singing, all-dancing evening of family fun.
Deep in the Black Forest, Mother Goose struggles to make ends meet. With nothing but a goose whose eggs are no longer golden and a cow whose milk supply is well past its sell-by date, she just about gets by selling her meagre wares to villagers.
But when her legendary son Jack returns from the big city, things get out of hand. The riches he found at the top of the beanstalk are all frittered away and, faced with the prospect of becoming just another agricultural statistic, the terrified animals are forced to flee into the forest.
It is here they meet a wolf who seems friendly at first but why does he have such violent mood swings?
Mother Goose and the ... Wolf, Greenwich Theatre, Crooms Hill, now-Jan 17, 7pm, mats 2pm, £17-£5, 020 8858 7755.
