Well, you know it is Christmas once you have been to a good panto and this version of Aladdin was great. The audience were sitting excitedly waiting for the panto to start. As the lights went down we all started to cheer.
The show started with a song from S Club 7. The dancers were all in rhythm with each other and the singing was good.
The evil Abanazer (played by Michael Brydon) had the audience booing and hissing from the start. In fact, there was lots of audience participation throughout the panto.
Dean Gaffney (EastEnders' Robbie Jackson) played a good Aladdin but the star of the show in my eyes was Andy Ford, who played Wishee Washee. He had the audience in fits of laughter.
The atmosphere of the show was amazing from start to finish.
Altogether this show was brilliant. It had romance, songs, dancing and all-round good entertainment. It is a show worth going to see.
Each actor seemed to fit their character well and did an excellent job.
Everyone left with a smile on their face, which goes to prove pantos really are for the young and old.
After the show Andy Ford (Wishee Washee) stayed behind to sign autographs and have his picture taken with lots of people.
