A BEXLEY artist is hoping to win a free trip to paint and sketch in his dream location of New York.
Adebanji Alade, 37, from Waterfield Close, Belvedere, has been shortlisted in the British Airways Great Britons competition, inspired by the airline’s sponsorship of the 2012 Games.
This year, the company is giving away 180 flights to talented individuals and groups, who need support to develop their talent in any field.
Mr Adebanji, who is married with a young son, has been drawing since the age of six and says if he wins he plans to put his sketches and paintings from his trip into a book and mount a public exhibition of the work.
The winners will be chosen by public vote and the deadline for voting is June 9.
