Greener Greenwich policy has arrived in the front of my window. I have been living every summer in dark room for seven years.
As a practical woman, I asked my neighbour living above me who is not affected, if she allows me to cut down tree. As a response , my neighbour started action for protection of tree because of Boris Johnson politics.
I responded: 'It's a nuisance tree, blocking the light into my property, growing without control, root system is damaging drain and foundation of building. According to the literature a tree as this , Norway Marple, should be 20 m from the house. This tree is 3m114 cm.
Tree Officer ,from the Council, wrote a report- Tree is neglected, badly pruned, diseased and does not deserves status of Preservation Order. Tree should be controlled but I need to find out on whose land the tree stands.
I bought a studio and parking space with lease; the Land Registry plan does not show the tree.
One Solicitor asked to remove the tree within 3 weeks. Managing Agent ignored it- she wants more than £1000 to start action. Another Solicitor asked to pay money to the Management Committee and forced them to do work.
Tree, according to him, stands and the Freeholder's land and I must not touch it.
So, I am singing now: Tree stands on the Freeholder's Land, In green England, I am sitting in the dark with no money in the bank.
Due to lack of funds the tree continues to grow. Can anyone help me?
